Canon’s EOS 5D, fits perfectly between the EOS 20D and the more professional EOS-1D as a more economical means to a specialized digital SLR. Don’t let the small size fool you, this Canon digital SLR camera allows photographers the lighter, more versatile ability of a smaller camera with the functionality of a professional SLR. Notably, it contains a full frame CMOS sensor giving photographers a full angle view without the negatives of magnification or the cropping effect. All this packed into a compact magnesium allow body that keeps it from feeling "cheap" and able to survive the bumps and bruises of urban photography. It should be mentioned that no matter how good an LCD screen is, it's always important to judge your pictures in post production, never in the external LCD screen; that is best left to judge blocking and framing of the shot, not color hue/saturation. The EOS 5D also has a few professional features for exporting photos such as an optional wireless file transmitter WFT-E1 and a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface that allows the photographer to transfer files quickly to a desktop computer. In addition the EOS 5D also features video out, which allows playback on a monitor more suitable for accurately judging photos.
